This week our focus is on prefixes. Prefixes are added to the beginning of a root word and change the word's meaning.
Example: Root Word: night
Prefix: mid
When we add the prefix to the root word, we change it's meaning. mid+night=midnight
The prefix mid means middle. Midnight means in the middle of the night.
