This week our focus is on suffixes. Suffixes are added to the end of a root word and change the words meaning.

Example:     Root Word: great
                    Suffix: est

When we add the suffix to the root word, we change it's meaning.      great+est=greatest

The suffixes we are working with this week are:

-est
-ing
-ed
-er
